This photo is of Liza when she had delivered 5 puppies. 

Today she is much deflated, but being a great mom.  

I am completely impressed how Liza managed to save her energy through the labour and still has more to give. 

Puppies born today!

Today Liza had 10 puppies - 6 girls and 4 boys - PAUSE we interrupt this blog to tell you

Liza now has 11 puppies  -  we just  had another girl so that is 7 girls and 4 boys.  Wow, what a day! Liza started this morning May 30 at 9:00 am and it is now 1:25 am May 31st.  We are all tired, and will be working on feeding them through the night.  Liza is a great mom, and we will have more pictures up in the next day or so.

Liza X Flash Puppies

After breeding Flash and Liza last month and we are anticipating that we may have puppies around June 1, 2012.  Liza is getting bigger and we took this photo of her this morning.  She is sleeping more, but still likes to run around.  Life is quieter with the loss of her friend Regis.

Regis at the Rainbow Bridge

It is with a heavy heart that I tell you that we put Regis to sleep this last Friday.  I took the time Thursday to take a couple of photos of him and this is one I will always cherish.  Regis was born December 1999 and was 12 years old.

Regis helped me learn much about Dalmatians.

Liquorice - Turns 13 years YOUNG!

I just wanted to wish my girl Liquorice - Ch. OTCh. Beachcombers Liquroice CD (Am), CGC, CGN, RD, RE, TC.  Today she turns 13 years young and is truly young at heart.  She loves her food, and outdoor play.  In 2010 she was #1 Dalmatian in Canada for Obedience for the second time in her life.  She had many first for me in her show, conformation, obedience and road trials and just this year is retired from competition. 

When I bought my puppy 13 years ago, little did I know where it would lead me.  Most importantly, it gave me some important friendships.  The most treasured would be with friend and mentor Bertha Little who is Liquorice's breeder.  

Today I can only say - Happy Birthday girl and thank you Bertha for giving me such a sound, healthy and amazing Dalmatian.  She is pictured here in the sun room on her Birthday. 

Another Championship for Miley!

Laurie Isaacson called this week to tell me that Miley had finished her UK CH as well for Miley.  Miley now has her AKC, INT, UKC Championships.  Congratulations Miley and Laurie.

Off to Chicago to visit Flash

Liza and I are booked to go to Toronto at the end of the week.  From then we will drive down to Chicago for Liza to meet Darleen and Flash.   Alida and Fern will miss her, but she won't be gone long.
