Liza and Regis in the sun

My daughter Alida dressed up Liza while she sat in the sunshine.

Liza loves the attention from the kids, and will sit quietly while being dressed up.

We are planning a litter in the summer of 2012 between Regis and Liza.  I think Regis is already smitten.

Igloo

This last few weeks we have had lots of snow.  My husband has been perfecting the art of Igloo making and today he made the second in our back yard.  The first got hit by rain and got too small.  Tonight my husband and the kids are sleeping in the igloo for a winter camping adventure. Liza snuggled down in between the sleeping bags.

Snow In Newfoundland

Liza still trying to get carrot off of snowman
Today we had a dump of wet snow.  It was the kind that makes a great snowman.  Len, Alida, Fern and Liza went out to make a snowman in the back yard.  Liza was very interested in seeing if she could get the carrot off of the snowman.  Liza also likes to jump for snowballs and she has an amazing spring in her legs.

Merry Christmas

2010 - A great year at Sweetspot Dalmatians!

We saw the puppies from the Daisy X Marlin litter grow up and finish championships, Grand Championships and performance titles. We watched all the puppies grow up: Miley in California, and Atlas in Sweden, Cooper in Saskatchewan, Ben in New Brunswick, and Diesel in Nova Scotia. Liza and I enjoyed learning about Agility and trying our hand at Super Dogs. The highlight would have to be the Best Senior in Futurity at the DCA National Specialty, with Liza and getting the Reserve Best in Show last spring. Another highlight was to find out that Daisy (Gr. Ch. Blackthorns Flower Power) our puppies mother will end up being the #1 Dalmatian (Breed) in the USA. Her daughter Miley is may also make it to being in the top 20 Dalmatians in the US as well.

In Newfoundland, we are resting now this winter. The weather has been very mild and wet and we are able to do some horse socialization with Liza and with a horse named Andy. He helped train Liquorice and Regis for Road Trials, and took Liza's antics and play bows all in stride when we went to meet him for the first time a couple of weeks ago.

We wish you all the best at the Christmas Season and 2011.

Elizabeth Zedel.
